Founded in 2020, SBIS is a co-educational day school with boarding facilities. The SBIS Boarding House is a purpose-built facility with accommodation for up to 86 boarders from Year 7 onward. Moving to a new community can present challenges and at SBIS Boarding House, we endeavour to make that transition as smooth, comfortable and reassuring as possible.

Our philosophy at SBIS Boarding House is to guide our boarders to become independent individuals who are motivated, aspirational and disciplined. We provide an environment that is welcoming, friendly and encouraging. This philosophy underpinned by the following aims of the Boarding House:

To provide a safe and stable home environment;

To develop character and build confidence in each individual;

To promote a spirit of communal and individual responsibility;

To ensure that each boarder has the opportunity to develop academically, socially and morally in a conducive atmosphere;

To offer engaging and enriching activities

Boarding has always been an enriching experience for students throughout their school years. They learn how to live with others, work as a team and form strong bonds not only with their peers but also across different year groups. The friendships forged and memories formed last long after they have left school.

Our SBIS boarding house is situated within the school’s campus, providing our boarders with a safe, secure and conducive environment. Boys and girls have their own exclusive wings, equipped with either double or single rooms with a residential team of experienced staff providing supervision and pastoral support. 24-hour patrolling surveillance service by the auxiliary police in Bandar Seri Botani is an added security feature for the school and boarding community.
